Fitting a fan, curtesy of Corally 👍🏼

A cooling fan (30mm) can add reliability and additional service life to the motor in your Team Corally Sketer XL4S. particularly when operating in high ambient temperatures or even just driving the Sketer hard.
Follow these simple steps:
1. Locate the place, and disassemble the side chassis guard
2. Obtain a 30mm cooling fan
3. Being mindful of the airflow direction (you want cooling air toward the motor)
4. Secure the fan using two 3 x 16mm screws
5. Route the wires using the built-in wire clips in the Sketer chassis
Plug the fan into an unused receiver channel.

Gotta say that looks like a pretty snazzy fan!

Nice. Thanks for posting. I have a 30mm aluminum rocket fan to slide in. I was going to use some double side tape on the bottom....didn't realize you can place some screws. Perfect!!@

I do wonder if this fan placement will get the motor temps down like one on top of the motor.
The airflow is very minimum this way.

Gonna do that when the corally fan arrives 👍

I think it would move some good air thorough there. And not being on top of the motor it’s less likely to get damaged on a roof landing 🤷🏻‍♂️ Just thinking out loud 🤔
The fan blows against the back end of the motor. The most motor heat is dispensated through the fins in the middle of the motor, that's where you want airflow. Like the mount in the Radix. Also the fan is in a very tight area and can barely get some fresh air. Looks to me it will mostly suck it's own blowned air which comes back from the motor.

But hé, that's just my thinking!

Ya I like my beast 40x28mm fan directly on the motor better. Also blows so much air it helps keep the ESC cool also😎 May not look as nice but will keep my motor 3x as cool. Ran it with the 16t yesterday and after 15 mins of hard bashing was not even hot at all!View attachment 1099
Damn man, the motor is the only clean thing in the picture. Must be an awesome fan!:D

Fan has arrived 🤤
I wanted to place it but i don't have the 2 m3x16 head screw. I am such a noob, i thought they would come with the fan 😔
And which screws do i have to screw lose 2 get the side chassis guard off?

Got the screws. Does anyone know wich screws i have to get out to get the side chassis guards off? I don't want to unscrew them all if i don't have to. Link to YouTube would be nice. Or a picture wich saus wich screws. Cant find any online. Thanks for helping a noob out 😉

I don't own a Sketer but looking at the exploded view i'd say these six (in yellow|):

Thanks but cant reach the screws. Only way is to to remove the motor and servo also. Or am i missing something. Would be a lot of extra work.
