As suggested by members, I'll be soon to drop in the 1650kv and I can't wait. Any ideas on pinion size to crack the 100km barrier. Not interested in going any faster but looking forward to lower motor temperatures.
Thanks all,

My Spark did 60mph shorter street tires with a 16t I’d do want to find a slightly taller street tire just for speed runs. When I went up pinion size tires keep unglueing I am running SMC hi-volt packs that on my testing give a average of a 4mph speed increase

Awesome I’m running 103mm street tires the Tc Stock center aluminum diff I think there 43t. One more question, I’m planning on going full out setting up front and rear differentials shimming. Are these the shims I should order just wanting to get pinion gaps set

I already know the Asuga's input and crown ratio, so if you give me your:
  • pinion, spur tooth count
  • Battery cell count
  • Diameter of your tyres
I will give you - with alarming accuracy - how fast your car will go. 👍 Hit me up!

Working backwards from a target speed - ideally 60mph (96kph) - I can tell you what pinion to use.

Then you can test your 0-60mph times!!! 🤩🤩🤩

Download app can estimate it, what size wheels & spur gear you running?

https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/rc-pit-calc-pro/id1562268871
I have my own spreadsheet set up for all my rigs - including the Baja.

I use it on the IC cars to establish engine RPM on any given ratio. It's awesome.

Then I compare the data from real world testing on GPS/GNSS

My system calculates mm/rev which is really useful for comparative testing, but also working out top speeds.

I'm hoping to develop mine into an app soon! 🤩

That thing is going to fly, dude!
Mine are so freaking fast on 6s.
23/46t gearing was a bit much for the batteries. I stick with 21/46t. And 4s.
I highly recommend venting the body, by cutting out the windscreen, if heat is your concern

Also be careful on how many amps your pushing in general rule the lower say 2amp is easier on your packs than more which usually I do off the capacity. Like say a 6000 LiPo I will charge at 6amp a 3000k I’ll charge at 2-4 amp. I know some guys that throw 12amps which yes decrease charge time but at what cost LIPO’s when larger capacity are $100 or more I have some several years old with a good 60plus runs on them

You guys can compare the results I calculate with your preferred apps, and see the difference.

All I need now is the Asuga's tyre diameter - I'll give the results for both 6S and 4S.

At a glance, my app will tell you results from 12 teeth - 22 teeth, for 2 different wheels tyre diameters and 2 different motor or voltage combos and 2 preferred spurs. It's good! Just calculating the Asuga now.
