Under chassis protectors are a great idea. I used to use them on touring cars too. I've used ones I trimmed myself from Carbon wrap on all my off-road rigs so far - except the XTR.

As the rig came supplied as a roller, once I added my gear, I never got around to taking it all to bits specifically to protect the chassis' under-side. I bet it's the same for most of us.

With these pre-cut ones, you just remove the skid plates and stick them on - bosh - ready to go.
