New to the RC world. Picked up a python 6s second hand. There is gouging in the center diff. Any ideas why this would happen

hopefully it’s from debris. Both center drive shafts have slight bends. Thought maybe from that

No, the centre driveshafts can bend for a number of reasons - but you may be relieved to hear that they don't jump out and gouge the anodising off your diff like that. 😉

Rocks and chippings are the culprit.

Your chassis needs a shroud. 👍

Character, that’s what I call it! LOL
Definitely from debris getting trapped under the diff housing. Be glad the cup is alloy and not composite like most Arrma’s..
I recently put 3 new composite diffs in my Arrma Mojave 6s, bought them from Jenny’s RC, $120. Which is actually a really good price considering they’re complete with front and rear gearboxes, outdrives and bearings.
First run a rock got lodged under the center diff and nearly wore right through the composite cup.. bummer! I do have new cups on standby from back when I thought rebuilding them was feasible. Then I saw the price of the ring/pinion gearset. Cheaper to but new from a kit breaker complete.🤷‍♂️🤣
