I am sorry i am not sure what you mean can you explain more.
The new cvd is on way to me hopefully get done and be running by the weekend
The red aluminum cap is the retainer, yes, thread all the way in(lightly), then back off just a tick. Don't forget to install the plastic bushing between the pivot ball and red aluminum retainer. The steering will bind if too tight, hub will have play if too loose. The shim goes between the hub (plastic) and bearing when needed. I know I have seen shims behind the bearings on my Kronos front hubs even though the manual doesn't show them in the breakdown. Which tells me they are used if/when needed.Guys thanks for all the help I managed to get the wheel of with mole grips on back off hub. I was worried about damaging it but came of quite easily .
Another couple of questions if I can.
The part i have circled in yellow does this have to be wound all the way in and is it the red cap the takes out the slack in the hub ?
I washer or shim fell out from where the bearing go any idea where to put that ?
Thanks again for all your help and advice.

It is possible the shim(s) may not be needed, variations in tolerances between bearings, and other parts will dictate if or how many are needed. Be sure the bearings are fully seated in the hub. If the hex adapter still won't slide on far enough to get the pin installed, you may have to remove a shim or two. I believe there were actually more than one shim on my model, though it's been a while since I have had the hubs apart, so I'm not certain. Unfortunately no two of these models are exactly the same, so these items need to be shimmed for proper fitment.Thank you for the reply
I put the shim in and used a new bearing as cover came of old one now i can't get the pin in the hub so will try a bit more if not take apart again and take shim out AAAAGGGHHHHHHHH
