Corally RC's
  1. Sketer
Swapped in a 15T pinion last night and ran at my local park today.
I have to admit, it makes a big difference in launching and top speed. On 3s she still moves pretty well, almost like stock 13t on 4s.
Drivability was still pretty good but I feel like it's more prone to rolling.
Temps after 1 battery pack.
Ambient temp 74 deg.
Motor 182 deg
ESC 132 deg.
The motor definitely needs a fan. 15T is pushing it.

Good to know, I’ll get the fans ready… if it even makes it that far… might just swap for 6s lmao.

Thanks for they update bud!

Is there a fan mount for these Corally motors? I see the slot in the back of the tray but I haven't checked what fits in there specifically.
I'm probably gonna stick the 13T back on it for now.
But I do have a fresh Spektrum 6s package sitting here...
Decisions...🤐

I'm gonna try this set-up for now.

That doesn’t sound like a decision. Haha… looks like you know what to do… 6S!!

I'd have done it, but with the receiver box being so far away, I need a jumper for the Firma ESC...
And, I wanna run this tomorrow 1st on the 15t w/fan to see how it performs.
The fan wires just reached.

The 150a Firma ESC is too wide for the spot in the left side chassis tray. The mounting tabs stick out too far. The tray would need to be modified for it to fit.
So, not a quick job. Still waiting on JRC for the Torox185. 🙃

I’ve also got a 6s system im waiting to drop in mine :)

It’s the Corally one too, so hopefully more “drop in” but I’m not afraid of a challenge.. haha.

The torox 185 has a way longer cord than the spektrum too.

Here's the skinny.
15T mostly pavement driving. Yep she sits on the wheelie bar a bit on hard launches. 🙃
82 deg ambient. ( Flori-duh)
1 battery pack.
ESC 140 deg
Motor 143 ish in the center, 119 at the back cap.
For grins the ABC wires to the ESC wires were pretty warm at 113 deg as was the battery pack.
Not that experienced in all this but something tells me this battery heat isn't a great thing. I've never had one that felt warm on any of my Arrma 3, 4 and 6s rigs.
What y'all think?

Bashing 40-50 °C ist normal! Wettkampf 60-70°C!

Hummm, I may stick with the 13t since I'm widening it and putting 1/8 Badlands. Although the stock 6s system on 4s is sounds interesting!
