Finished the Corally Widening Project today. Finally got all the parts. Anyone find it weird that Corally uses little plastic spacers on each end of the steel ball ends of the turnbuckles? Seems like it would make sense to just make the pivot balls a little longer. Im not an engineer so maybe its stronger this way. Any how I just need some better weather to try it out.

Looks good. Other companies use the spacers also. Tekno uses a bunch of them, but they are used to adjust the wheelbase a little to your preference.

I think it's for camber adjustments, add or remove to achieve the desired camber angles.

Should not affect camber. Do that with different hole positions on the rear, pillow ball spacers on the front.

The rear hub hinge pin has spacers also. if you moved the two spacers to the front versus one on either side , you can do the same for the tie rod spacer, and have a little difference in wheel base.

At least - that is how you do Tekno builds. don't know if that was the intent with Corally or not. It is for tuning.

My bad, I was thinking of the spacers between the arm and pivot ball for the front axle carriers..now that I've reread, I understand 🤪

So long story short. If anyone wants to know, update after running with "wide kit" I snapped a couple rear lower controls arms but I'm pretty sure it was my fault. I had thickened up the rear shock oil too much I think, and Its really cold. I dropped the shock oil back to 600 and nothing else broke for 5 pack until my dumb ass ran into the side of my ramp "kinda embarrassing". Double back flips and large corrections in the air are super responsive now that I can run the bigger tires. So far this has been an absolute joy to drive. Can't wait to get my embarrassing accident parts from Built4SpeedRC and get her going again!!!

If the rear broke, why am I also seeing broken front parts?

That sucks! Though I'd really doubt it's the fluid..more likely the wide kit is putting too much strain on the control arms.. imagine holding a bowling ball out from your side with your arm bent 90 degrees at the elbow. Now try to straighten your arm while still holding the bowling ball at the same height..this is what the wide kit is doing to the control arms..
I know why people are running the wide "kit" but unfortunately it comes at a cost, in this case, the arms are being sacrificed.

Wondering how it’s going to work with the shogun setup… long arms short hubs.. 🤔
I wouldn't expect there to be any issues, you're not putting more leverage on the arms. Actually less leverage with shorter hubs I would think?
Def interested to see how it goes👍
I'm thinking the shogun arms will be a bit thicker than the sketer?

Of course, there are the xtr arms as well..but not sure if they are actually any different from the rest of the long arm 6s rigs?

Not to derail this subject, but I've been pondering Keaton 6s arms for my '21 xtr if/when they break..

Honesty thing all the long arms are the same part numbers 🤷🏻‍♂️

- just looked, they are..

You know my thinking on this (y)

I made a thread about this, long arms short hubs (y)

I had extra rear arms so I fixed it and went back out to play. Didn’t have any extra front ones so that ended my day.

I’m feeling you. But the way it was snapping them right at the shock base I thought it was worth a try, to change oil. Did fine after that. I’m hoping it at least slows down the breakage.

I've been bashing mine pretty hard and so far have only cracked the fronts. Maybe roof landings are a good thing?😜
I'd like to report that the Killaramp isn't making matters worse, but life caught up with me last week and I've had no free time to play with it.

Just ordered a killaramp the other day hope to have it by the end or March. 🤙🏻
