I have 3 Traxxas TQI radios that i don't use.
Back when i only had 2 Slashes, i experienced bad range and interference, so i went with
FlySky GT5 radios.
The GT5's are all right. The range is good. The interface is simple enough. I have no complaints about latency.
I quickly found out that they also had problems with range and interference, but it was only in one particular bash spot.
It turned out a nearby cell phone tower was to blame. In hindsight, the Traxxas radios may be better than i initially thought. Their receivers are way more expensive than the FlySky's though, so i stuck with FlySky.
On top of that, Traxxas only uses 6v for the system voltage.
I prefer 7.4v for the upgraded servos and for the Rocket RC fans i put on every motor and ESC.
The GT5 offers the ability to program 20 trucks on a single radio, but my daughter and i used to run cars together, so i got 2 of them. Now i have room for programming 40 trucks.
I need more trucks.
