POS MudguardsI've tried the kagama's mudguards and they don't fit.
That's sort of what I was thinkingWith a Dremel (for drilling the screws holes), scissors and a sheet of polycarbonate in 0,75mm you can easily make your own.
I actually wrap them. A carbon wrap on them looks pretty nice.I suppose there's nothing stopping you painting them up, either.![]()
Carbon wrap is what I use on mine! But they're the solid POS/Phase1 RC (basically the same manufacturer).I actually wrap them. A carbon wrap on them looks pretty nice.
Quite like the little front wings you can get for Mugen too I think these would probably fit a corally too.Lexan / polycarbonate mudguards are thinner and lighter, whilst still flexible. I suppose there's nothing stopping you painting them up, either.
Bitty design make a bunch of them for numerous buggy/Truggy designs - like these ones here for Mugen MBX buggy:

If you have any off-cuts from body shells, it's handy to keep for such projects.![]()
So for the rear mud guards, are yall using existing holes in the lower rear arm for attachment or making your own as you see fit for ideal fitment?
It's unlikely to affect anything. Truggy truck shell will cause parachuting. Guards would be negligible in comparison.Random question, does the uprightedness of the guards affect top end speed and in-flight control?
Lots of good points there, I've definitely seen mine rear shocks covered in crap, but I was considering shock covers to preserve them from the elements , any thoughts on those? It's unlikely to affect anything. Truggy truck shell will cause parachuting. Guards would be negligible in comparison.
Guards definitely help protect your shock shafts from pitting and stone chips. 100% worth it, especially if you run on gravel or hard bonded surfaces.
Front tyres on 4WD cars turn debris into shrapnel.
The state on my guards after just the first few runs has demonstrated how much harm my shocks would have been exposed to otherwise.
Shocks covers good have them on all mine only negative is hard spot leaks or bent shafts if you get unlucky.Lots of good points there, I've definitely seen mine rear shocks covered in crap, but I was considering shock covers to preserve them from the elements , any thoughts on those?
