Please help!
Is the problem with inner hex depth on inside of stock wheels only an issue with asuga wheels? I know this has been discussed before but I'm not sure what tyres to go for, one is just starting to strip. Thanks

Thanks, I've been looking at the terraforms but they're a little pricey just to be destroyed by 6s madness

The size is rather odd on these, most end up going larger like say Arrma BF LP’s, but they don’t hold up well to 6s power in my experience. Mojave 6s tires and wheels are great, strong and versatile. There’s a few options on AliEx in this size, 135x56mm.1/8 buggy can work, but not going to hold up well to 6s. Plus they’re rather small at 4.5” vs 5.25” stock. Prolone Mirage TT are the correct size, though the tread pattern is quite conservative.
Here’s a thread over on Arrma forum. The Asuga tires are about the same size as Mojo 6s.

Thanks, I've found these tyres on ali for $70 called pyfore 1/7 scale, inner diameter is slightly less but worth trying for the price

The inside of the wheel will grind off the top corners of the rear hubs btw. It won't affect anything unless you are using the outermost hole in the top of the hub which most don't. I have the same tires but with a different tread pattern and harder rubber. They come in three different versions for mud, for hard ground (what I have) and for sand. They will balloon a lot on 6S unless you strap the inside with Gorilla tape like I did. Also if you look around you can find them for $40

Yep, they're the ones. I think they might scrub the front of the lower arms but no big deal

Nice, they're exactly what I'll go for. Which would you recommend for grass mostly. Thanks

Nice! Those are the PL Hyrax knockoffs. The ones I posted above are the TRX BFG knockoffs for the UDR. I also have a set of them with a different pattern. They look like real life BFG AT’s, but the tread is really thin. They’re about useless for me.
Yeah, these wheels do rub the Mojo rear hubs as well, as do the stock Fortress wheels from Arrma. I just move the links to the lowermost inner hole and ground off the excess with a 4” grinder. Done.

I say the Hyrax knockoffs posted by @Atomic Skull ,though the PL version is really grippy and prone to traction rolling in grass. These Chinese knockoffs won’t exhibit the same level of grip since they’re made from a harder compound. Alternatively I’d say get the Speedline/Pyfore UDR knockoffs for a lil more slip/drift action.

Goddamn the price of RC tyres... I know people who get the jitters when they have to Pay that much for real tyres
Yeah buddy!! I scoured the internet for some brand name tires (18”) for my wife’s Sonata. I ended up with 80k rated Bridgestones for $125 each delivered, paid an additional $100 for mount and balance. Tire shop wants $250 each installed!😬🤪 Saved myself $400!
