My 2nd delivery arrived but I’ve made a boo boo. I won this bittydesign body on eBay but what I failed to spot in the pictures was it’s for a nitro buggy & already pre-cut not really gonna to work for what I’ve got in mind 🤦🏻‍♂️. It’s fits perfectly if it weren’t for my custom t2t brace, I could still use it but if anyone got a nitro buggy be interested in it let me know. It’s for sworkz buggy £20 posted

I’ve been there especially on these buggies have had to double triple check k myself before ordering. Have a bunch of parts that for now are no use to me but that’s the way it goes I guess

Went to the hobby shop today picked up some shock springs and more different weight oils to try. Just came in from a bash and boy it lands so well I’m almost afraid to replace the springs. I mean a good 30foot in the air she just plants with very little rest bounce to non if I do my part. Here’s the ones they had and my Rocket 30mm fan arrived waiting on the bracket yet

Can I say Spark wide body 😎, just finished her up of course TC Swiss rear axle shafts ( long ones ). I’ll give some testing tomorrow, will want to adjust toe see how she steers but turned out super clean

Metric doesn't use the same standard for fastener strength as imperial. 8.8 is the weakest alloy screw followed by 10.9 and 12.9 is the strongest. So what you want are metric 12.9 because "grade 8.8" metric is the weakest before you go down into mild steel screws. Metric doesn't even use the term "grade" technically they are called "Metric x.x e.g. Metric 12.9) though people still use the "grade" term anyway.

imo 12.9 screws are worth using just for the fact that the heads resist rounding out better, especially button heads and setscrews. I do wish they would use m3 caps screws instead of button heads though. I REALLY hate button head screws for the undersize drivers.
Corally offers screw sets on their official site. Go check it out.

Way cheaper to buy off the shelf 12.9 screws though. Monster Bolts and AFH Fasteners are two reliable sellers if you are in the US. They mostly sell YFS brand screws made in Taiwan.

You can also get some very inexpensive 12.9s from aliexpress though I'd recommend researching the imprint on the screw head. Pictures can't be trusted as even good sellers tend to just copypaste those. I can tell if it's a 12.9 or not by putting it in a screw cutter and seeing how hard it is to cut to lenght a real 12.9 is very hard to cut and you have to bear down on it with a lot of force.

A screw cutter is good for when you have an oddball size like 15mm and will never need 50 of those just cut down a longer screw to slightly longer and then smooth down the cut end with the side of a dremel cutoff wheel till it's 15mm. If the end is visible you can hit the exposed part with a black testors enamel pen and a heat gun to fast dry it.

The sets I bought off of Amazon have been great with a awesome variety of lengths

What’s up gents! Thought I’d join and show of my work in progress. Been in the hobby for 20+ years and my LHS turned me on the the brand and I’ve been hooked since. These cars are impressive.

On the topic of upgrades I have a few questions as well:

1. Are the rear wing mount holes the same distance apart as the Typhon? Looking at a carbon fiber wing and trying to retro fit.

2. Has anyone experimented with front end wings (ie F1 style “nose cone” or any front bumper/aero for that matter?

3. Other body options?

Details of my build currently:
🔴 ADU chassis brace
🔴ADU Steering knuckles
🔴ADU Hinge pin cover front and rear
🔴ADU shock towers
🔴ADU motor/center diff mount
🔴ADU carbon fiber/alum batt tray
🔴Hyperflow motor fan
🔴Powerhobby servo
🔴Powerhobby Gripper wheels (I used red chrome vinyl to customize them)
🔴M2C 17mm hub extenders

Looks great, I see a gnss, give us the numbers!

Looks sweet, rear wings are usually pretty universal I’ve had a couple on different ones fitted but not a typhon wing. Picks of mine with tworks wing & now with a Mugen wing. I also have racecraft usa front nose wing on mine.
