Awesome build! 🔥
That body really ties it all together, especially with that red anodized bulkhead! I also love the light bar and the personal sticker! Do you have any pics in the dark with the lights on?
Bring back the kits I say! 😁
I agree! If there were kits at the same price points as RTR bashers I would've definitely gotten a kit instead of a RTR. If Corrally is going to release a kit they really should fix their manuals first though 🤣.

Thanks , no pics with lights on yet still to wire them up but I’ve brought my toys to work again tonight so might get chance to tackle it later get a few pics then if do

And with regards to kits after watching do rc vid of his upgraded Kraton & Edwin lomonaco build vids where they both break down the builds I commented there that if your upgrading you rigs that much your not really left with many original parts except for arms, receiver boxes, diff mounts, diffs , driveshafts , wing mount wings , body (maybe) and the nuts & bolts so it probably more cost effective just to buy those parts from breakers etc and your upgrade parts. But do rc did comment if you are upgrading and you do it from a fresh build you can always sell on stock parts if still new condition as usually worth a bit. Do rc screw template pretty neat idea

Funnily enough, I was considering building a Kraton from upgrade parts, starting with this:

Then working up. It's on my list of future RC projects!

Probably cheaper than the £749 asking price for the RTR EXB. 😬 For that price, I could get a 1/5th scale RTR 4WD Buggy.

Shame they don't offer the rollers any more. 🤔

They get expensive quickly no matter what route you take , I went and had a look how much the Kraton beefcake is $700+ but spotted this speed chassis on sale But I know you love your carbon too.

That plane looks scary, as in I’d be scared shi/tless to fly it lol prefer helicopters as can relax a bit more when flying take hands off controls if need I’d kill the plane or someone if it was in my hands

6ch Helis are solid to fly! Though I suppose there are self levelling, easy to fly jobbies around. I love the scale looking ones!

The large scale aircraft are great with gas engines - decent flight times and cheap to run. Though most of them these days can be run brushless and they have insane thrust to weight. RC Flight sims are helpful - you can run them with your radio and get a good feel for it before you commit to flying the actual model.

There are loads of tough planes to learn with - high wing trainers - before you jump into aerobatic stuff. It's really not too bad flying, but it's not so easy fixing them when they get busted up.

My Funtana S90 took some damage when I landed at the strip on the longer grass - I landed just 1m short of the good stuff without realising (from where I was standing - it looked like a perfect 3 point landing) and it stopped dead.

Erm - you can't 'bash' with these!

Lightly built with balsa, ply and carbon fibre - they really aren't made for durability. So, cutting ply and gluing in doublers and blocks to support the undercarriage was the mission here.

Re-tapping the hardware for metric screws.

Re-covered and looking like a Dyfed Powys Police Funtana!

Back at the field following re-build.

Touch down was much less eventful this time! All good again.

Please excuse the photo story. If you like 'big air' - you should in theory love fixed wing aircraft!

Yes most modern heli fly like drones have gyro/gps but can switch that off fly 3d if you got the skills do some crazy manoeuvres, 1st time I saw this guy thought it was fake internet rubbish but nope. I’ve look at planes can get relatively inexpensive foam ones to start off get hang things but still think I’ll stick with the heli’s for now.

But these do look like cheap bit off fun

Hard to get a good picture with the glare from the lights but they more than bright enough for an rc & only on @7.4v atm

Vitavon hubs eventually arrived after almost a month. Quickly threw them one one side for now I’ll get the other side done tomorrow, changed the hex’s for black ones red on red bit to much for my taste even though won’t really see them. Just need my scorched ones for the buggy to arrive now 😁

Looking great! 🤩😎

What do you make of them so far? Hava you got your full steering lock?

Happy with them, you do loose a small amount of steering just under a mm difference 10.8 v 11.7mm so left/right it’s a tiny amount doubt I’ll notice it or nothing my heavy right foot/finger won’t overcome, some would set endpoints to not even use that much steering , I could get dremmel out but not gonna worry about it. Definitely not as lightweight as the scorched ones probably add about 100grams overall but I’m sure the max6 system will cope.
