Max6 definitely fits but with weight savings you’ve made don’t think you need big heavy motor. Hobbywing are updating the ezrun motors new g2r versions where available to preorder but not now but don’t think be long until released as hobbywing don’t seem to have any motors listed for max8 atm. Max rpm increased to 60,000 which by my math the 2500kv should be capable 6s but only rated at 4s but 2250kv probably the more sensible choice.I reckon a max 6 would fit in my XTR 'Wide Boy' - opens up a range of speed running opportunities!

Looking at the Max 6 G2, it has 3-8s, 200A max continuous rating and can operate motors 4990-5690, so I doubt it would even break sweat running with anything that fits 1/7th-1/8th rigs. Seems ideal.![]()
Yes, wheelies are very easyI do too in my Kronos but in Horatio’s case with lightened chassis I think the 2250kv probably be quicker than 4990, in a lighter chassis it just gonna pop wheelies easier than they already do with big motor.
Yes, wheelies are very easy.
But speedrunners should very gently increase speed, not like the bashers do.
Best of both worlds, although Kronos isn’t designed as a hardcore speedrunner.
It would definitely shift, innovation rc runs lots castle systems in his rigs if want check him out on his YouTube, think the bodyshell will hold it back rprc distribution now stocking LFR bodyshells what I was gonna go for on my Kronos originally but shipping from states was more than the bodyshell.View attachment 7825
My Kronos is now 100% ready as a hardcore speed runner. 0 degree kick up. All carbon, 5mm chassis. M2C carbon shock towers. Revised weight distribution. Titanium centre drive shafts.
Loads of now unnecessary bracing has been removed.
What we need now is more HP.
I'm at 69mph and 0-60mph in 3.78 seconds. Time to up my game.
I was wondering castle 1717, 2500kv. That can work on 8s apparently!![]()
Yeah I know you made a Kronos special editionView attachment 7825

The TP motors option is interesting. I've seen some impressive speed runs on Youtube.Yeah I know you made a Kronos special edition.
For speedrunning check out Castle esc (no amp limit) and TP motors.![]()
He gets some insane speeds out of his rigs!It would definitely shift, innovation rc runs lots castle systems in his rigs if want check him out on his YouTube, think the bodyshell will hold it back rprc distribution now stocking LFR bodyshells what I was gonna go for on my Kronos originally but shipping from states was more than the bodyshell.
A guy in our bash group is a speedrunner and several TP motors. If you look at the specs, the amount of Watts and RPM for their size motors is insane compared to the ‘bash’ brands. The TP motors option is interesting. I've seen some impressive speed runs on Youtube.![]()
Uses castle exclusively I think, the 1721 1260kv looks an impressive motor probably be my choice if went castle but he did get over 100mph out that 2400kv on 3sHe gets some insane speeds out of his rigs!
I'll get my head back into it soon. Between work and music I have some distractions over the winter, but winter will soon be behind us.....![]()
Yeah - and I'm struggling to hit 70mph on 6S!Uses castle exclusively I think, the 1721 1260kv looks an impressive motor probably be my choice if went castle but he did get over 100mph out that 2400kv on 3s![]()
