I accidentally connected the battery leads to the ESC with reversed polarity for a split second. It was more accidental contact than me trying to connect the leads backwards, but the ESC did release a tiny bit of smoke before I immediately broke contact. All the main functions of the ESC still worked afterwards, but I did notice my car kept cutting off due to overheating issues and that the fan on the ESC was not working no matter what the temps were despite having not having that issue in the past.
To error on the side of caution, I was going to replace the ESC and figured I would use this excuse to upgrade to the Torox 185. As far as I can tell, the 185 is slightly larger than the 135, but I think it should more or less be a direct swap with the rest of the components normally included in the Kagama 4 and that there should be enough space to fit it in. I'm still fairly new with RCs so I may be overlooking something, but is this an easy upgrade or are there other componets I would need to upgrade with the 185?
Thanks for any help and if I need to expand on anything, please let me know.
