So instead of fixing my typhon I'm going to use the electronics. Reason being is the parts are the same cost as a slider so that's a side project down the road. I may just get the hobao sste I've been checking it out and it's really a great first kit especially the ground clearanceIf you want a challenge build a kit. Then you can set everything up the way you want it.I’m partial to Tekno, Sworkz, Mugen and Sparko but that’s just because I’ve had good experiences with them. There are a ton of good kits out there, AE is always popular too and X-Ray as well but x-ray tend to run on the high side. Then again, most good kits “usually” are within $100 or so of each other so pick your poison.

I have zero complaints. They come 90% ready to go so they are a pretty easy straight forward car. The clearance and balance are adequate for my needs and durability for the $ is crazy good. I believe when I get around to my street basher project, that will be the starting point. I have a bunch of part files that I drew up in Solidworks last summer to make it work, hopefully soon I’ll get back to it. Whatever you choose, there’s lots of help available. So instead of fixing my typhon I'm going to use the electronics.
