I wonder what the difference between the Sketer and those new trucks are? Well, besides the body and wing.

If had to guess be built on the Syncro platform, so very be very similar to sketer but cheaper.

I'm wondering if it'll be more of the same with the diffs. I don't really go past 4S, so maybe the plastic diff housings will hold up?

Kenny downs had a little bit more info about it on his YouTube channel do rc if want check it out.

Very nice. Thanks!

Hrm. Going off of what I see on his channel, maybe I'll pass. I'd assume the 4S Kaga will be lighter due to the plastic, but I worry about durability. Especially if it shares the same design as the Syncros. I'm not a fan of shock towers being part of the design of the bulkhead, unless it's a two-piece. Composite shocks are passable in 1/10, but with the added size and weight of 1/8, not to mention the speed, I'm still on the other side of the fence.

Overall, though, I'm glad. We could always use new life in the sport. If the 4S platforms fill a niche, then bravo! Perhaps they'll hold up to conventional race speeds. I'll keep an ear out as to how they are durability wise. Who knows? Maybe I can make them competitive. At least out here. 😁

On that note, I did some diff comparisons on the Syncros and the Shogun/Muraco. The center diff is indeed composite, but it uses the supposedly more sturdy diff gears that are found in the 6S models. Also, the Syncros center diff is the same that is found in the front and rear of the Muraco/Shogun models. And the Python 6S too, if I'm not mistaken.

I'd assume that the diffs will be sturdy enough to handle sane 4S power levels. With the stock Kuron motor, I think they'll operate just fine as long as they're not subject to above the norm power levels.

Looked like a sweet truck until I saw a user's running video. It was slow and seemed under powered on a 13t pinion. If it's anything like my Sketer was out of the box, it's going to need some tweaking to compete with the Arrma 4s rigs. The 4s Arrmas hit 50+ out of the box with wheelies on demand type power.
It'd be cool if the Punisher 4s was built on the Spark platform with more aluminum parts and a path to easily power up to a 6s system.

I got mine delivered last week, go home today for first run. All I got with it was TC tool kit, 16T pinion. I’m so keen to run this thing

Motor mount only takes 13/15/17t pinions, or you could upgrade to the sketer sliding motor mount.
