Just before cold weather hit last year, I had purchased a 4s battery to run on my Muraco. I never got the chance to run the Muraco on the 4s battery until yesterday. Given the limited space I have to run in, the Muraco speed on 4s was perfect and the handling was fantastic. From now on, I think I'll be running the Muraco on 4s more often than on 6s.

I often do the same, actually, I've only run my Kronos XTR on 6s a handful of times. It handles it fine of course, but it's just more than I need when running my small track. I use Losi XTT truggy racing tires with the TC 6s combo running on 4s, 16t pinion and it's a great handling vehicle. My brother insists on running 6s in pretty much everything. He certainly has speed and acceleration over me, but the weight penalty of 6s is very evident on track. He gets behind, then overdrives them routinely..ends up blowing the turns usually because he's carrying too much speed and weight.. perhaps one day he'll understand that more isn't always better..well, unless it's "Morr is better!"😉👍🤣🤣🍻

For blasting around, in large open spaces - 6S is bonkers and a lot of fun.

Besides the obvious driving challenges that 6S presents in a rig like a Kronos, it's definitely harder on the driveline. 4S calms everything down - but for getting around a track quickly, a lighter Truggy l- ike a Tekno ET48 2.0 - would be far more competitive given drivers of equal ability.

More power isn't always faster on a track, especially if it comes with additional weight penalties. When I raced 1/10th buggies, it was surprising how many club racers were faster with Superstock than modified.

It was always the buggy that looked calmest that put in the fastest lap times. Not the buggy sliding spectacularly, or fastest down a straight. The race is won in the bends, with tidy lines and efficiently getting power to the ground.
