Well i feel like a dummy. I just took the battery tray out and tuh dah. I have the adjustable battery tray.
I was gonna ask if you had removed that piece..😁🍻

FWIW, I've had good luck with most all the batteries I've bought from Amazin.. not the best but for the money, they do fine by me. Hopefully it cures the heat issues you've been having.

Before I replaced the stock battery tray on my Radix6 with the new longer one, I bought two HRB 4000mAh 60c batteries from Amazon for my Radix. They fit perfectly in the shorter battery tray, and I still use them in the longer tray with the adapter installed.

But even at it's biggest setting I think the max size is 151mm...

Today I was looking at Ovonic Rebel packs. Quite a few options there at very good prices, and there's holiday discounts at the moment.
I haven't decided which one to get yet.... Not sure if I should go for two 3S or a single 6S...

Edit: the tray is 161 long!

Guess it depends on whether you have other rc's that can use 3s? I do, actually a few. I buy 2 and 3s packs because they're cheaper generally but also versatility. I have several 3s (1/10), 4s and 6s vehicles, so it just works for me. Bonus is shorter charging times, I have 6 chargers, that helps too.

This pack looks like a nice option. Probably a bit tight lengthwise. I would like to run x2 3S packs but I'm finding it hard to find packs that are no more than 25mm high, as I would like to put them side by side in the tray (which is 51mm wide) as opposed to stacked one on top of the other. I know everyone runs them stacked, but I just think that can't be good as the bottom one gets squashed by the top one on landings. Unless they're hard-packs of course, but those are bigger and they tend to have the cables sticking out on the side, which means that when they're stacked they have to be at an offset, and if the top battery pushes against the cables on the bottom one, that can't be good either.

My apologies, I forgot about how the Corally battery tray is setup. It is indeed quite small for 2x3s packs. What I ended up doing with mine was using a piece of aluminum angle to serve as a backstop for the batteries. It is taller than the factory piece. I run my Corally on 4s most of the time(2x2s). Also, I have damaged battery cables due to the constraints of the Corally battery tray. With those things said, I would have to agree that the tray is much better suited to a 6s brick pack.
I guess since I have so many different rc's from different manufacturers, I had forgotten about this. At one point I was considering trying to adapt an Arrma battery tray to the Corally.. never followed through with it. It'll be interesting to see what my brother does with his Kronos that he just bought. I don't think he's realized the battery tray dilemma yet..

Guys I can't make my mind up if I should go with 6S or 5S for my XTR!!! 😅
I've been running 4S and it's great, but I kinda want just as bit more power. But I'm afraid 6S will be too crazy and I'll regret it once I start breaking things more. I kinda feel 5S might be a sweet spot for this truck.

I understand, I feel the same..most of the time 4s is enough, but then I want just a bit more. I've run 5s quite a bit in the XTR, Mojave and Kaiju. Although my esc's don't identify so I disable lvc. You can use a lipo alarm for an audible. I just never worried about LVC TBH.. 5s is pretty sweet IMO.

I have always run 6s on my xtr kronos 12t pinion max 8 combo and have a futaba 4pls radio it took me a lot of messing with the settings on the radio to get the car to run good with 6s power had to turn everything down to tame it (y)

I ended up purchasing an Ovonic Rebel 100C 6S 6000mAh 22.2V LiPo Battery with XT90 Plug. My first experience with a 6S battery and all I can say is...

INSANE POWER

But my question is, what do I do to keep the front wheels on the ground? Do I ONLY change the center diff oil? 500K or 1M? Do I do anything with front and rear diffs?

You can program the Esc to give it less punch.

Can you share the link to that battery? I can't see one with those same specs on the Ovonic Armpow website...
