Corally RC's
  1. Kronos XTR
Hey guys,

First of all, I just want to thank Team Corally for standardising on bearings, the Kronos uses just two different size bearings, 6x10x3 for the steering, and then the entire drivetrain uses 8x16x5. Which I think is awesome! My Traxxas MAXX for example uses 6 different size bearings all over.

The TC bearings are part number C-3611-3-08-16-05 and they cost around €5, which is not terrible, about half of what TRX bearings would cost, but still if you want to replace all bearings we're talking €50!!! So, I've found this very nice bearings on Aliexpress which are ABEC3, same specification as the stock ones and to be honest I think they're probably the exact same ones (just different seal colour). Also, they arrived very quickly, just over two weeks to Ireland. And, it's only be around €16 to replace all 20 bearings in the drivetrain.

Anyway, thought I'd share here as it might help others.

also rcbearings.co.uk do kits for all the TC cars and they're very good quality.
That's good! That would have worked for me a couple of years ago but not anymore unfortunately. 😔 Free shipping is for UK only, £8 shipping to the EU, plus customs and VAT. And it looks like they might not even be shipping to Europe anymore? But for you guys in the UK this really sounds like the place to go for bearings!

I just bought a bunch of bearings from TBRC direct. I got free shipping, but not sure if they charge for a lesser order or if it's conti US only.. I think Avid RC offers free shipping too, not sure.
Having Arrma, Tekno, Thunder Tiger, Corally, TRX, Xray and Losi rigs means I use alot of different sizes,LOL. I usually buy sleeves of 10 each size.

Both my Radix6 and my Muraco have TBRC ceramic wheel bearings. I like ceramic for bearings that are likely to get wet.
How does that work? Is it just ceramic balls and the rest is metal or is it full ceramic? How do they hold up to heavy bashing?

FUSHI is actually where i order all my bearings (aliexpress). fast shipping and GREAT prices, along with a good product.

there's hybrid ceramic (ceramic balls, metal everything else) and full ceramic (ceramic everything)

Do they fit to Sketer?
Sorry, im a bit lazy to search for part numbers!!

I don't think I have actually seen a full ceramic bearing for an rc car before. Most of them are hybrids.

Most of the ceramic bearings for our rc cars use ceramic balls and stainless steel which makes them ideal for wet conditions but they often have plastic or nylon retainers. They are also usually made to a tighter tolerance and dirt will kill them real quick.

The biggest downside of ceramic bearings is that they are more expensive than standard bearings. Most standard bearings are about $1 each, ceramics can be $10-$25 each for the same size bearing.

Aye, Colin at rcbearings, if he doesn't have what ye need he'll find em sharpish.
What is the difference between the blue and the orange seal ????
You of all the folks should know that the orange wans are obviously faster! 😉
