So after taking the wing off to make accessing the rear differential case easier I found another problem (after the missing steering rack shims previously). It seems someone at the factory was overzelous in tightening one of the M4 screws that holds the wing on because when I went to remove it the M4 nut just rotated in it's seat. Getting it out was a PITA.

I looked inside the hole and there was no evidence of stripping, but I can't imagine how else this could have happened. If the seat was manufactured oversize then the screw would never have went in in the first place.

Regardless, I fixed it by cutting a thin strip of 0.2mm thick flexible plastic as wide as the seat and long enough to go behind the nut between it and the side of the seat without protruding. This prevents it from rotating in the seat and allows the nut to be tightened/ untightened. The plastic came as part of the packaging for a smartphone camera protector, it is flexible but stiff and fairly tough. If anyone else has a problem like this, this is a fix for it.
