Great little write up, look forward to see where you go with this power wise..!!
For the diffs I'm thinking of 60/500/30 in mine ( fingers crossed next week )
Totally agree to every single observation you are sharing here - my 'adjustments': switched the center gear from 52t to 46t and earplugged it - since I did this it is even more agile than ever before. MAX8 + FG150A ESC as modified Combo instead of Corally Stock. With dBoots Backflip LP the Sketer is spinning like hell on 4S and compared to the stock tyres have GRIP! For the 6S Beast Mode I needed to get it even tougher with unbreakable body, +10mm, some bumper and body TPU upgrades. 15t in the skate park and more on speed runs is fast, agile and one of the best decisions to directly upgrade it making it a MAXX killer.Obligatory new unboxed still stock pics

Changed out to EC5 connectors and did a first run.
First off - stock pinion is WAY too small. Thing was so slow I was laughing. Ran for about 5 minutes, switched to a 16t pinion. Turned punch up to level 5.
OK - feeling better....but still needs more.
Was able to pull one slowwwwwwww backflip off the ramp. landed front tire first, but still pulled it off. Level flights pretty easy with this thing.
Handles pretty well for the width. But have the widening kit and going to put on it, and need to order some BF LPs for it for sure.
Ran most a pack on the 16t pinion, not installed the fans yet. Motor was close to 180F, so not too bad - but fans will help. Have a 40mm for top of the motor and 30mm fan for the chassis slot fan mount behind the motor.
ESC temp got up to about 165-170F. Better than I thought - so may be OK. Thermal cut is set for like 221 degrees for both motor and ESC from factory - so I am fine if it gets up to 180F or so max.to
Need to go through the diffs. Going to go with 100k/500k/50k for F/C/R.
I think it is a great rig for the cost. Love that I don't have to worry about the drivetrain for any upgrades from stock.
Had one or two bad landings, nice cartwheel, etc - handled it like a champ.
Hoping switching to the larger tires and keeping the 16t will be good enough to get the speed and power I want. May move up to an 18t.
If all else fails - time to throw in a new Castle MMX 2200kv system. Will see how it goes.
Awesome. So you are using the stock 2150 motor still?Totally agree to every single observation you are sharing here - my 'adjustments': switched the center gear from 52t to 46t and earplugged it - since I did this it is even more agile than ever before. Sweet. Thanks for the info. Have a Castle MMX 2200 combo in my Tekno. Was looking at the Max8 one since it is $50 cheaper. Love my Max6 1650kv combos in my 6s rigs.NOPE - replaced it by a Hobbywing MAX8 2200kv ... had the same Combo already in a CEN GST-E and it was great.
