Shock oils

Ok guys I stay on top of servicing shocks diffs probably before there even due. I just did the Spark with a 50w only have a few to choose from, I’d like to get some input on weights you all use. So far I’ve done 800 which I did like in the Spark now of course 50 but raining no play time. Looking at doing the Kagama4 local hobby shop I bought all they had gonna have to order online now. So please share give suggestions, I play in my horse pasture very bumpy horse poo and do jump a lot. Thanks guys for the input trying to learn

I use the Team Corally manual to set my RCs they have factory / off road and track. I have been using the off road recommended settings for both my RCs and they handle the bumpy stuff very well, not that good at landing big air but isn't the worst I ever had.

Only thing I do differently is put 500k in the 6s centre diff as it makes my kagama 6s more controllable and evens out the power better for my uses, Which is mix of loose dirt and gravel and loads n loads of bumps.

I do the same with 500k in the center diff and vary a little on suggested front rear diffs. Rain again today I may take the Spark out to see what I think of the 50wt in the Shocks

I'll start of with this:

Helps when choosing oils.

On my XTR, for bumpy grass and dirt:

Shocks:

Front: 45w
Rear: 40w

Springs:

Front: Medium
Rear: Medium

Diffs:

Front: 20k
Centre: 100k
Rear: 10k

Ride height: Arms level when dropped.

Droop:

Front: set so that droop rests on screws just before shock reaches it's full extension

Rear: set so that droop rests on screws just before shock reaches it's full extension. When using carbon lower arm stiffeners, slightly less droop to prevent driveshafts rubbing at full droop!

As a general rule, I don't like to run too thick a shock oil. I wouldn't recommend anything higher than 50w, even when using higher rate springs, otherwise you'll bend shock shafts.
