Lightly abused, left rear shock leaking & just about lost all the fluid, I think it's coming from the cap, any common shock leaks & fix?

Also what fluid on shocks for say around mostly 6ft jumps to occasionally 10ft?

Any tips on what to do or check/fix to prevent unnecessary breakages?

If it’s coming from the cap, most of the times the cap was not fully screwed down.
Note that all shocks lose oil over time. It should be very minimal though and if it’s leaking it’s usually tightening the shock cap or new o-rings.
Stock is 1000cst which I’ve found good for the jumps you mention.
Either check the entire car or run it till you hear a strange noise and then check the car (usually the diffs need new bearing, shimming and/or new parts.

Just realised that's a 6s and not a 4 so whatever I just posted was irrelevant but I am sure there's lots of other people here who can help

Bit of plumbers tape around the thread before putting the shock cap on stopped my rear shock caps leaking and stopped them undoing themselves.

Two cable ties around the wing and wing mount will save the wing mount screws pulling through see pic :).You could get the updated one off the Limited Edition but this is cheaper :p.

Ditch the stock wheel hex nuts they are ultra poop and will undo themselves and fly off into the multiverse at the speeds these things go, get yourself some serrated wheel hex nuts think I got some Arrma ones and been golden ever since.

Do the CVD heat shrink mod or get the new CVD rebuild kit with the sexy collars to stop them pins flying out  .

Stock oils in shocks are lovely for big air lands nice and plush :D

So I took it apart & the bladder wasn't installed correctly at factory or I'm not sure what happened, here's a pic, looks deformed & almost as if there wasn't an even seal, have u seen this b4?

Have u seen this on shock bladders? Is that seal pattern normal? I got bladders & orings for all 4 shocks already

I've got 2 punishers 4s, still in box, just waiting on my boy bday so we can go do the maiden ripping around🤙, any input on pun4 b4 1st run?

If your replacement bladders don't have that indent then it's deformed, every other type of shock bladder I have is smooth on the underside.

Diff oils I use are centre 500k , front 30k & rear 20k. Finding slightly thicker than stock still gets it do tight turns but can drift if needs be. I drive in quarries so mostly sand and super loose dirt these are the oils I find work well for me.
