I got a new Kraton Exb during the fire sale last year. Still unopened. Debating keeping it or trading for a new Kronos. How are the Kronos diffs vs Exb diff? Do they require additional shimming/setup? Does the steering use a spring system like Arrmas will eventually get loose and require upgrades(snap rings, hr servo tube)?

All I can say is the Arrma 6s line especially EXB is pretty tough, I've done things to the outcast exb that should have bent the chassis but didn't. That being said I will be going with the Kronos XTR for my next 6s Rig.
Eh Get the Kronos and keep the EXB too

I too bought the EXB during that sale, to my wife's dismay, as I had literally just bought the 21 xtr less than a month before🤔
If we were talking 21 xtr vs kexb, I would say exb. Now with the upgrades on the 22 xtr, I'd say xtr.. I feel the 22 xtr is just off the charts in terms of value! The 21 was good, but the 22 xtr value is unsurpassed IMO.
Parts and aftermarket support def goes to Arrma here in the US tho(for now)
Still can't go wrong with either, both great rigs😎
Hey, you already have one, so you're halfway there😁

The xtr diffs are pretty stout out of the box, and if you get the 2022 you get the Swiss steel outdrives upgrade. The servo saver is adjustable on the xtr, when it gets loose you tighten it back up and add some loctite.
Yeah man, just the price of the outdrives of the '22 will push the price of the '21 over .. and theres much more upgrades in the '22..
To me, the 21 would have to be $300 or less now that the new one is out.

I was very close to buying the EXB until the XTR 2022 came out. I've made my mind and I'm getting the XTR.
Good choice! They're both great rigs IMO, but for the money, the xtr would be my choice too.👍
Be sure to keep us informed (build thread)when you build it out, we LOVE RC's!

Yes that's exactly what I think, much better value for money, all that 7075 and carbon and all those nuts backing the bolts.
I'll create a build post when I get it for sure!

I have both too. So far I favor the XTR. In general it is just built better - it seems more 'modern' and thought through. The diffs feels way more sturdy! (I hate the Arrma ones).
I do very high jumps, and so far I have found three weak points. All user errors 😅

1. The front turnbuckle. One bent, one snapped. I will be changing to the Arrma EXB ones (I think they will fit)

2. I have broken the pin in the rear shock. I don't know if it is weaker yet, but I will also swap those to Arrma shocks.

3. Also broke this. I wish they would make a 7075 upgrade?? https://www.eurorc.com/product/3123...--xtr---upper---front---aluminum---titanium-1

I believe that with a few Arrma parts, this build will be the perfect car!

A service note: When I received the car, I noticed that the center diff had leaked. I wrote to TC directly, and they shipped a complete center diff the same day. Asked for no proof!

they both have there good and bad points like any rc, both are good for the money

Still Building my K8EXB, I thrashed the BLX anddecided to bomb proof the EXB as much as I can.....$1500 later I still haven't put in my power plant yet. I have a few more hop up parts I want to add but I have come to the point where I wonder how far I want to take it. The XTR won't be for awhile.
