C-00180-672Can you, by any chance, find the part number for that aluminium steering plate and upper hinge pin holder?
All i found is a carbon plate from TC.

I vote bigger esc over gearing down, I'm an advocate for overkill on esc's, they never fail to deliver what you want and no real concern of them going up in smokeI got the Surpass motor in with a 16t pinion and drove it a couple of times.
Boy is that motor fast!
According to the spec sheet it puts out as much power on 4s as the stock Kuron does on 6s. I have no reason to doubt that.
It's awesome to see this little buggy fly over my usual beach bash spot.
As specified, it is quite an Amp hog.
The Torox185 struggles with it and is getting hot. Now, should i gear down or should I shove a Max6 in there?

I found out that the right rear set screw was glued solid in the stub axle from the factory. It was a PITA to remove. I tried screw extractors. No result. I tried to drill the set screw out and got nothing but overheated drill bits.
In the end i got the hex pin out with my chain breaker kit. The stub axle was scrap now and i replaced it with a spare spring steel one.
A couple of days later i had the same problem on the front of one of my Asugas. Again the chain breaker came to the rescue. This CVD stub couldn't be saved either. Luckily i had a complete CVD drive shaft and one cup from the new upgrade kits as spares left.

I like how you are thinking.I vote bigger esc over gearing down, I'm an advocate for overkill on esc's, they never fail to deliver what you want and no real concern of them going up in smoke
Unfortunately the XR series are not waterproof. I can't take the risk of getting them wet. How about the Max8 g2s?Max6 is a bit overkill if only going to be running 4s, could upgrade fan on esc might help a little bit but if only plan on running it in 4s I would consider the Hobbywing xerun esc basically race spec esc either the xr8 pro (4s) or xr8 plus (4s-6s) both 200a and not as big or going to add as much weight to rc as a max6, xr8 pro similar price to max6 the xr8 plus bit more expensive. Or if really want to have a lot of headroom as far as amps are concerned I’ve been looking at the mad components max8 esc 3-8s 300amps & similar price & size to max6.

The torox185 is a rebranded Hobbywing max8. The esc is handling the amp draw just getting too hot I would just put a 30mm fan on it see how goes. Just disconnect fan installed and slap 30mm fan on top. Screw holes line up for it.Unfortunately the XR series are not waterproof. I can't take the risk of getting them wet. How about the Max8 g2s?
I am pretty sure adding fans to electronics under a body that traps heat like a buggy body does, only results in moving hot air around. So i did to the Spark body what i already did to my Asugas:The torox185 is a rebranded Hobbywing max8. This is a great idea , when I recently had to clean a stone out of my ESC fan I did think it was a touch on the small sideThe torox185 is a rebranded Hobbywing max8. Love the mesh mod, functional and looks great tooI am pretty sure adding fans to electronics under a body that traps heat like a buggy body does, only results in moving hot air around. So i did to the Spark body what i already did to my Asugas:

Could you just Dremel a bit out of the arm? Some parts from Jennys arrived this week.
Complete Spark suspension to put on my Radix and a drive shaft set as spares, since i am pretty sure they are the same as the Radix's.
I fitted the steering stiffener on the Radix, and i noticed i had to reduce droop to prevent the stiffener from touching the upper arm.

The Spark arms have a cut out for that.

I could, but the Spark arms are much beefier. They are 1.5 mm thicker and much wider.Could you just Dremel a bit out of the arm?
Yes if you mean the hinge pin holders/abcd blocks. Have them fitted on mine with spark armsI could, but the Spark arms are much beefier. They are 1.5 mm thicker and much wider.
I will put them on asap, but we spend a lot of time at the lake now, since it's summer break for the kids.
Does anyone know if the ADU suspension mounts for the Spark will fit the Radix?
