I have some questions, and I do not know if they are related.

I tried to complete a run yesterday, and it was as if there were times when it was half power and sometimes full power. For example, if I had the trigger pressed and it ran at half power for 10 seconds, it would brake itself, and once I pulled the trigger again, I would have full power until it slowed down to half power, and the cycle repeated itself.

I got frustrated and stopped running the vehicle, I pulled the battery out, and it was very warm and had swelled larger than its standard size. The battery is a Team Corally 6500 15.2V HV-LIPO (C-49631).

Please let me know if you have any thoughts on these two issues. Thanks

Sounds like you your lipo is going bad or can’t deliver the power the motor is asking for (for exampeledue to too agressive gearing, binding in the drivetrain).
If another lipo doesn’t have the issue your lipo has gone bad. Since you say the lipo was warm and has swollen, it seems to be the lipo.
If you have a lipo checker you can see if all cells are around the same voltage and a low internal resistance. Or your charger should also be able to check it.

Thanks for the reply. I guess it is the battery because I tried my 6S battery, which worked fine. When I plugged in the 15.2 V battery into the charger to check it, it registered at 17.4 V, so it does sound like it's the battery. Thank you for confirming that.

I am open to trying other 4S batteries, any recommendations?

Discharge to zero volts to make safe, then take for responsible recycling. 👍🙏
