Wondering what people think about the Asuga. I'm selling my Typhon 6s to get one.

Is it durable? Are the plastics brittle and break easily? A couple of my friends feel YouTube shows it's an easy to break vehicle, but I cannot find one negative video on YouTube about it.

Just buy it. You wont regret it. Loads of positive videos on yt. I have one. Changed the front and rear bumper, got a titanium front shock tower and upgrades the front and back diff housing for alu ones. haven't broke anything. But i am not a extreme basher.

Did you need the alu housing or was it just for safety? Does it need anything out of the box?

I actually like the stock bumper, might try and fit it to my Kronos :)

Just safety. Did the same with my Sketer. Have the roller version but i think of you gonna go for the rtr. Just check the diff oil and run it. You wont need to change a thing. I like working on my cars. Thats why i did it 😉

The wrenching is definitely the best part. Think i'll go for the roller, all I need is an esc. Thanks for the input!!!

the version 1 Corally cars had a few weak points and some people just can't seem to let go of that. Just buy the Asuga you won't regret it.

but yeah, check the diff oils levels before running.

It's built very well, overall a very nice rig, unfortunately I don't even use mine, only driven it once much like my xtr, that's nothing against it I just have my go to's I primarily use

Interested, so whats your go-to's?

Mine are my Traxxas XRT and then Kronos. I'm nervous jumping the Kronos as last week I broke an arm off a small jump.

No problem buddy. Here to help. Keep us posted 💪

As soon as I get the funds I'm going to get one. but then I'm wondering if it will be a similar drive to the Kronos? I have mine quite low and on Backflip LP's, wondering if it actually drives and handles like the Asuga

It depends what I'm looking to do for the day, if I'm after general ball diamond/street ripping I always grab my python, I've got kronos arms on it so it's very wide and handles amazing, probably why I don't use the asuga to be honest, asuga is built better but my python is so much more enjoyable to run. If I'm gonna do jumps or drive like an idiot I grab the jambo, or if I'm just after a big smile I go for one of my savage's, theres something about a nitro that just does it for me. I think I've got 13 or 14 cars but those 3 generally sum up what I always grab.

The Asuga is just too big for my taste: I prefer the smaller vehicles like my Muraco or my Radix6. Both are heavily modified with TC 7075 parts for durability. If I'm really serious about running on a given day, I grab my Kraton 6s with a Castle MMX 8s/1650kv motor system installed. The Kraton is as large a vehicle as I want: carrying a larger vehicle than the Kraton to where I want to run is not something I care to do.

Why are you selling the Typhon? Just curious as it is typically highly regarded by most. The Asuga would really seem like an XL Typhon/Python/Radix I'm guessing?
I built out a "Typhon XL ". It's really just a Kraton with Mojave arms, shocks, towers and cvds. I love it, absolute beast on my track. I don't run it anywhere else though. Has Mojave tires on it.

The Muraco is larger than the Asuga..as are the Kronos, Shogun, Kraton and Talion..
Asuga.
Track width: 359mm
Wheelbase: 371mm
Muraco,
Track width: 443mm
Wheelbase: 384mm

Thanks for the pic, really helps put them in perspective.
Nice rigs BTW👍🍻
Interesting: the Asuga is marketed as being 15% larger than 1/8 scale, and the Muraco and Radix are marketed as 1/8 scale. The Asuga is 100 grams heavier than the Muraco, which isn't all that much.

Yes, both are indeed 1/8 scale (Muraco and Radix), however buggies and truggies are a different class of vehicles. Each has it's own "specs" in the racing world, with truggies being dimensionally larger than buggies.
What I find interesting is, a 1/8 scale buggy is dimensionally about the same size as a 1/10 scale sct truck..
I have a Tekno sct410.3, I typically run it on 3s, occasionally 4s.. it's pretty wild on 4s, I can't imagine what 6s would be like, LOL.

I bet most of the weight difference is in the center chasis bracing and beefier arms of the Asuga..
