Laser cut 2mm Kydex with an actually not too bad carbon weave design. No idea on price yet just judging interest.

Look good corally do sell them but they always out of stock so probably still sell if price is good

They also do the rear chassis brace. Yours look more of a Matt finish compared to corallys think I actually would prefer that but would give people a different option.

Corally one's are actually carbon I believe, mine are just for tarting up. I'll have to price up production and see. Thanks for your input.

Yes, the Corally items made from carbon fibre are designed to make the arms stiffer - thus more responsive.

Kydex is pretty strong though right? They make holsters out of it. I'm assuming it's not as stiff as Carbon fiber, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing - it's a tuning option. 😜👍

Kydex is very strong, I switched from making my skidplates out of ABS sheet to Kydex, it's got a bit more flex about it and less likely to shatter.

Although I love the look, I'm still torn on these sort of upgrades .. by limiting the flex in the center of the arm are you not then moving those forces to the non flexible ends of the arms and other components

Cheers, although I wouldn't worry about adding stiffness, the Kydex is only 2mm thick and still has a bit of flex to it, much more than the improved Kagama style arms.

Turns out people would buy them as the Kagama arm inserts all sold, plus the mudguards, cheers whoever that was.

Made a few bits from offcuts today, hope the material gets here soon.

I've also ordered a set of Asuga arms so I can expand the range.

Might be interested in the Asuga ones when you get them done corally don’t offer them for the Asuga. For the front upper arms are you going to make winglets or just an insert like bottom arms? If your interested could also make them for the older style arms fitted on Kronos/shogun/punisher etc. have sets of those arms if your interested

I'll be doing flat plate inserts to go in the top front arms, these are laser cut from sheet so doing anything '3d' isn't an option.

I've done the ones for the old style V2 rear arms and can lay my hands on the old style front arms but would they sell? I've assumed people would be swapping over to the new HDA type of arm on the older trucks like the Kronos etc?

Never used kydex wasn’t sure if you were able to bend/shape or mould it in any way. I’ve saw front wings on some vehicles be nice to get them for a corally. Your call on what models you make them for, I did upgrade my arms some people just get same replacement arms, models like mline punisher, top rc dementor still come with old style arms but your call.

Guess I could try some Lexan wrap it in carbon for front winglets I’ll add it to my to do list lol. I did see them on a corally before but wasn’t able to source them.

You can bend Kydex by applying heat, but I don't have the right kit here to reliably repeat bends.

Nah you're right, I'll do some old style wide arm ones, it's not loads of trouble.

I love that picture of the buggy because it has my stickers on it!
